5. Congratulation to Nathan and his Social Committee for the first of many fantastic social evets planned for the season. All social events will be listed on the website, so stay tuned. Please support Nathan and the social events as it is a great way for our club to get together and bond. Also, please support any fundraising raffles that will come up this year as we are keen to raise money for the upgrade of our cricket nets. Troy and Nathan have spent several hours talking to businesses asking for donations and have been successful in obtaining a number of sponsored giveaways and prizes.
6. We have had meeting with Hastings Council with regards to upgrading the nets with new synthetic grass and net covering as a band aid solution. Future possibility of relocating the training nets and expanding to three nets.
7. Nathan Cunningham has done a cracker of a job with bringing on a new sponsor, The Black Duck Brewery, as the club’s new exclusive beer supplier. Stay tuned for more information!
8. We have a new sponsor, Hennessy Coffee, who has generously supplied the canteen with a barista coffee machine and will supply all the coffee for free to help fundraise throughout the season.
9. This season Leagues will be running the canteen to fundraise throughout the year. This will be successful if we can get several volunteers to help via a roster. The aim is to utilise the canteen for juniors and seniors supplying coffee, pies, sausage rolls from Bel’s Bakery (to be confirmed) as well a running a BBQ. Beer will be available for the seniors – obviously!
